The insurance company has been recognized for being the best employer for veterans.

Allstate has earned the respected and highly coveted recognition as the top company on the 2020 Military Friendly Employers list.

Allstate is the firm recognized for its military and veterans programs to hire, develop and retain.

The insurance company took the top spot among Military Friendly Employers in the $5 billion in revenue category. It took that crown for its military and veterans programs. Those programs are focused on hiring, developing and retaining veterans as well as their spouses.

This isn’t the first time Allstate has received recognition as an employer with a positive focus on military veterans and spouses. In fact, it is the fourth consecutive year in which it has made its way onto that list. The insurer’s programs help it to work with veterans and their spouses to convert the experience they had in the military into corporate world skills. The program also ensures that veterans moving into civilian life will align themselves for gainful and fulfilling careers, whether they choose to continue at Allstate or follow their journeys elsewhere.

Among Military Friendly Employers, Allstate has a strong focus on building professional futures.

“Allstate has benefited from the work ethic and valuable experience of our country’s veterans,” said Allstate’s director of military programs, Joseph Pennington. “Their exceptional leadership qualities make us stronger as a company. We’re dedicated to guiding and advancing veterans’ careers and are proud of our military and veteran recruitment programs. Companies that are not actively recruiting veterans are missing out on opportunities to hire skilled and talented employees.”

Allstate’s program is called the Joining Forces for Good licensing initiative. Its mission is to help veterans transitioning into civilian life to obtain their licenses as sales professionals so they can work for an agency owner. Since 2018, over 400 veterans have been hired by agency owners. Moreover, more than 300 veterans were hired since 2018 to join the purpose-driven culture at the insurance company.

Furthermore, the insurance company’s Veterans Engagement Team and Supporters, an Employee Resource Group, offers active military personnel, veterans and their loved ones with community and support to pursue success.

The Military Friendly Employers list is compiled based on an extensive research through the use of the Military Friendly Employers - man and woman, veteran returning homepublic data sources for over 8,800 employers from across the United States, as well as from employed veterans, and from responses to the list’s survey from participating organizations.
