Insurance employment forecast sees 14,000 jobs currently available and 27,000 more this year

GreatInsuranceJobs.com has released a report on the availability of jobs among managing general agents, third party administrators, brokers, and agents, and has determined that there are currently about 14,000 positions open, and that there will be an additional 27,000 jobs available before the end of 2012. A new survey from The Jacobson Group, a leading insurance staffing services firm, and the Ward Group, a consulting firm, suggests that the majority of insurance companies in the U.S. will be looking to hire more staff throughout the 2012 fiscal year. Jobs in the insurance industry are slowly climbing

According to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), following a small decline in jobs in November 2011, there was an overall increase of 3.3 percent in the insurance industry in December, as 3,300 new jobs were added in the last month of the year. Mercury experiences growth in homeowner business leading to new hiring

Mercury Insurance has announced that as a result of a significantly increasing customer base, it will be hiring 63 new employees for full-time property claims in its New York, New Jersey, Texas, and California offices. The Tennessee State Government is expected to make changes to its laws regarding captive insurance this week.
