Insurance software solutions provider, FirstBest Systems, Inc., which provides products for the MGAs and MGUs specialty and commercial-lines insurance carriers, has revealed the latest additions to its Front Office Suite of insurance applications, which will now include mobile commerce capabilities.
This new functionality will permit the insurance workforce to take advantage of a wider range of solutions for underwriting and collaborative business challenges using mobile devices that are increasingly becoming standard in the industry.
The mobile capability is entirely integrated with the agent portal applications and underwriting workstations through FirstBest, and will give insurance workers such as travelling agency managers, carriers, and field personnel the opportunity to remotely take on time-tasks that must be performed securely, so that a larger amount of business can be written in a smaller amount of time.
Senior vice president of underwriting , workers comp, at ICW Group, Paul Zamora, said that he is now capable of keeping up with his referrals, which used to create a backlogged problem on his desk. He explained that the new app on his mobile device allows him to gain access at any time to all of the essential data, such as “pending referrals, submission overviews and related forms,” so that he may then proceed to “make decisions or comment in real time to keep submissions progressing.”
Zamora praised the mobile capabilities through FirstBest, as the quote process can be performed more rapidly and he is better capable of providing improved service to his customers. He credits the new function to helping him to gain more business.
