RMS pegs Hurricane Isaias loss estimates as high as $5 billion

The insured total loss estimates in the United States include those from NFIP claims. The Risk Management Solutions (RMS) catastrophe risk modeling firm has predicted that the total insured losses associated with Hurricane Isaias in the United States will be between $3 billion and $4.5 billion. The Atlantic storm caused less than $500 million in insured damage in the Caribbean, said RMS.
