Progressive Car Insurance has announced that it will be hiring approximately 120 new people in their claims, sales, and service positions at its contact center in Austin, before the end of the year.
These positions come with many attractive qualities, such as flexibility – for example, compressed work weeks and work from home opportunities – a casual dress code, performance bonuses, fitness centers, and on-site medical facilities for both the employees and their families.
Recruiting director Katie Koch, from Progressive, said that the insurance company’s employees remain with that business because they are happy there. She added that “We provide employees with opportunities that make it easy to grow and succeed, and our culture offers them the flexibility to balance the demands of home and work.”
She explained that in 2010, 7,100 took advantage of the Progressive health clinics, while almost 20 percent of their workforce obtained on-site fitness center memberships.
Each of the positions requires a stable work history and some experience in a customer service environment. Phone representatives, for example, will be responsible for answering questions from customers, assisting customers in filing their claims following a collision, and selling policies. Each position also offers paid training.
New employees will also receive benefits, which include medical, vision, dental, and life insurance. Other features to being a Progressive team member include:
