KANSAS CITY, Missouri (September 12, 2016) – Forrest T. Jones & Company, Inc. (FTJ) and Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company (FSL) have appointed Roy Moore to a newly created vice president position to lead the organizations’ information technology (IT) efforts.

Moore will provide strategic leadership as a member of the FTJ/FSL executive team and manage a department of nearly 50 IT professionals. He will report to Richard F. Jones, FTJ/FSL President.

Moore joins FTJ/FSL after more than a decade of working in IT at other firms, most recently as chief information officer at Beyond Blue Holdings Inc., which helps businesses leverage technology for greater innovation and faster delivery to market.  Before that, Moore was at AMC Theatres as director-applications & integration systems for more than six years. At AMC, Moore led efforts to relaunch the theater chain’s website as a portal for ticket-buying.

Moore has extensive experience at building work teams, a key attribute for his new position.  “While Roy is a very qualified tactician in his own right, he’s gifted at strategy and also working with people,” said Jones, the FTJ/FSL President. “He will be responsible for taking the talented pieces we have in IT and putting them all together.”

Jones noted that the Moore is filling a newly created executive position, the first time FTJ/FSL has added a vice president overseeing IT operations. “This addition indicates the level of importance we place on technology as an essential component in meeting our corporate goals,” Jones said. “Our executive team is beyond thrilled, as is the IT management team.”

Moore said he is honored to join the FTJ/FSL leadership team. “I’m looking forward to being a partner across the entire businNew FTJ/FSL Vice President to Lead IT Effortsess spectrum where each unit, and subsequently the entire organization, benefits from technology as an innovative, strategic, and business-enabling function of the organization.”
