The Hartford has announced that it will be offering partners, members, and supporters of the National Wildlife Federation with access to its home and auto insurance through a special discount program that will be available in the majority of states.
Hartford’s president of consumer markets, Andy Napoli, stated that the insurer is pleased to be able to partner with the largest conservation federation in the country, which has now been protecting wildlife for 75 years. He added that The Hartford looks forward to providing members of the National Wildlife Federation with a number of different products that include features that are eco-friendly while they meeting their needs for auto and home insurance.
The National Wildlife Federation is an organization that works alongside various communities across the nation to restore wildlife habitat and protect what is already there, while battling global warming and promoting the connection that people can have with the nature around them.
According to vice president of business affairs Julie Blessyn, from the National Wildlife Federation, they selected The Hartford due to its dedication to conservation. She added that “We’re proud to be associated with the innovative options that support conservation values through green lifestyle choices.”
Among the reasons that the National Wildlife Federation has recognized The Hartford as being committed to conservation are several green initiatives that it has put into place. Moreover, environmental friendliness is nothing new to the insurer, which has been supporting these initiatives for many years.
For example, for over two decades, The Hartford has been insuring renewable energy risks, such as wind, solar, and geothermal. More recently, its homeowners insurance was enhanced in order to include a number of new eco-friendly features, such as incentives for making upgrades to a home that make it greener, and coverage for home charging stations for electric vehicles.
