Considerable efforts from a new call center to a revamped website have been created to educate people about the changes.

The Department of Health and Human Services has now launched a new campaign to help to spread the word about the health insurance exchanges, what they’re about, and how they will be used starting in October when the open enrollment begins.

This campaign has been launched to make sure that Americans can easily gain all the information they require.

In an effort to help to enroll millions of people through the state health insurance exchanges, a massive educational effort has been launched by the HHS, including an overhauled Healthcare.gov website and a call center. This is meant to help individuals and small businesses that are eligible to purchase coverage through these online marketplaces to understand the system and requirements.

From October through March, the goal of the HHS is to enroll 7 million people in health insurancenr68kpthnl6B8D87GB687E9D8AA plans that will be competing for business through the state exchanges. The Congressional Budget Office predicts that by 2022, there will have been 24 million people who have enrolled through these marketplaces.

Kaiser Health News has stated that should the health insurance exchanges meet this year’s projections, it will be the largest open enrollment season in the history of the coverage. However, in order to actually make this achievement, the HHS and its partners will need to be able to overcome the significant problem of a lack of knowledge of the exchanges among the uninsured across the country.

In order to take on these challenges, the Healthcare.gov website from HHS has been converted into an educational site that is meant to offer general information about the health insurance exchanges as a whole, as well as about the Affordable Care Act that brought them into existence in the first place. Beginning on October 1, 2013, small businesses and individuals who are eligible will be able to buy coverage through that site, regardless of the state in which they live or do business.
