KANSAS CITY, Missouri (June 16, 2016) – Forrest T. Jones & Company, Inc. (FTJ) and Fidelity Life Insurance Company (FSL) announced that veteran insurance executive Peter Lindquist joined the companies as vice president on June 15.

Lindquist, who has served as chief financial officer (CFO) for 20 years at various insurance companies, will succeed William Hobbs II, who is retiring as vice president and controller.

Lindquist most recently served as CFO and treasurer at Cameron Mutual Insurance Company, located in Cameron, Mo. Prior to that, he was CFO for insurance companies in the Chicago area.

Hobbs is retiring after 15 years with FTJ and FSL. Also retiring is senior vice president Michael Hall, whose tenure at the companies began in 1984. Both Hobbs and Hall will remain on the FSL board.

“Both Mike and Bill have had a tremendous impact on the growth and success of our companies during their time with our organization,” said Richard F. Jones, President. “We’ll miss their daily involvement but are thankful for their continued participation as members of the FSL board.”

FTJ and FSL are affiliates under common ownership. Founded in 1969, FSL provides life, health and interest-sensitive insurance products to brokers, third-party administrators and other distributors that market to employee groups, customers of financial institutions, and members of professional, trade and lifestyle associations.

FTJ is an insurance agency and third-party administrator that manages insurance programs for more than 80 national associations and affinity groups. Family owned and formed in 1953, FTJ also provides insurance products and services to educators in more than half of Missouri’s 520 school districts.
