Cyber insurance partnership forms between Allianz and Pentura

Cyber Insurance

The UK insurer has now joined up with a digital risk management company for this new product.

Allianz is now offering cyber insurance among its products now that it has teamed up with Pentura, a cyber risk management firm, so that commercial customers will have the assistance that they need to improve their digital security and the guidance and coverage they require if a data breach occurs.

As a component of the agreement, Allianz Commercial policyholders will receive free Pentura consultations.

Part of the deal between the two companies means that cyber insurance policyholders with Allianz will be able to receive a free consultation with Pentura in order to obtain advice with regards to improving digital security. This includes incident response, targeted attacks, and loss of data. Furthermore, customers with the insurance company will also be obtaining a string of different discounted testing services, such as application, infrastructure, WiFi testing, and mobile devices.

This reflects a growing movement in the cyber insurance industry to boost protection and preparedness.

Cyber InsuranceAllianz technical risk manager, Andy Miller, explained that “We are continuously looking at ways to manage the emerging risks which present challenges to our customers and we recognize that cyber security is a real concern for many businesses. I’m delighted that through our new partnership with Pentura, we can provide policyholders with access to expert advice and discounted cyber risk management solutions.”

On the other side of the agreement, Pentura director Danny White went on to express how happy his company was to have been appointed by the insurance company. He stated that this was a “great achievement for Pentura” and that it was a direct reflection of the quality of their cyber security portfolio and the consulting services that they provide in within that category.

White stated that Pentura was now keen to begin sharing their tech expertise with the commercial cyber insurance policyholders at Allianz, in order to help to make certain that they would be better protected against the risks in the digital sphere in terms of prevention, detection, and action on every level before, during and after a data breach.
