A survey sponsored by The Indianapolis Star revealed that the insurer took the top spot for the third year in a row.
GEICO has been recognized as the best insurance workplace in Indianapolis for the third year in a row, according to a news release.
The title was given to the insurance company based on the results of an employee survey.
The Indianapolis Star sponsored a survey issued to company employees throughout the city. The questions focused on a range of different workplace culture issues and how much employees felt like a part of that culture and the team as a whole. The outcome, for the third consecutive year, was the naming of GEICO as the best insurance workplace in the city.
“We can’t thank our associates enough for voting GEICO a Top Workplace for three consecutive years,” said GEICO Indianapolis office assistant vice president, Eric Stafford. “Since we opened our office in Carmel (Ind.) in 2013, the number of our associates has quadrupled to more than 1,000, and their hard work stretches well beyond supporting our policyholders.”
The employees at the Indianapolis office made it very clear they feel they work at the best insurance workplace.
The employees at the insurance company’s office in Indianapolis had a great deal of applause for their workplace. The responses showed that they were more than satisfied with the company culture and their experience within it.
One of the employees there, Bonnie Huckabee, started at her insurance company job with GEICO about a year ago. “Before coming to GEICO, I worked on and off as a server at several restaurants to make ends meet as a single mom,” she said. “GEICO was my first real job, and in one year’s time I’ve been promoted twice. I’m thankful to be part of a company that rewards hard work.”
The company has been proud to be able to maintain its local title as the best insurance workplace in the city. It will be interesting to see what other businesses will need to do to nurture their own company cultures to try to take that top spot for themselves.
