The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce and National Business Inclusion Consortium issued the title.

Allstate Insurance has received the proud title of Best of the Best Corporation for Inclusion for 2018. The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and National Business Inclusion Consortium (NBIC) collaborated to designate the insurer with this title.

This title is meant as a celebration of a company committed to broad spectrum inclusion and diversity.

The NGLCC and NBIC consider companies for the title of Best of the Best Corporation for Inclusion based on several factors. Overall, they look for a company committed to inclusion and diversity across all communities. The 2018 title represents the second consecutive year Allstate Insurance has received the title.

“Inclusive diversity is one of Allstate’s core values and we are honored to be recognized as a Best-of-the-Best Corporation again this year,” said Christy Harris, the insurance company’s vice president of human resources, benefits, inclusive diversity and talent acquisition.

“Individuals thrive and perform at their highest levels when a work environment welcomes different perspectives, backgrounds and cultures. Allstate is dedicated to ensuring an inclusive environment where everyone has a seat at the table and that their voices are heard,” she added.

The Best of the Best Corporation for Inclusion title celebrates America’s businesses committed to diverse employees.

The designation is meant to honor those American corporations that are truly committed to embracing employment across all U.S. communities. These include “LGBT, people of color, women, and people with disabilities,” said the NGLCC’s president and co-founder, Justin Nelson.

Nelson went on to explain that this designation is highly competitive. His organization takes meticulous care to ensure only corporations actively seeking to celebrate and strengthen their diversity are considered.

Allstate Insurance established solid inclusive diversity commitments in 2016. It did this through its Enterprise Diversity Leadership Council (EDLC). The commitments applied to every unit of the insurance company’s business. The goal was to enhance diversity throughout the talent of every segment of the business. This was particularly true in terms of recruitment efforts among leadership teams. Furthermore, the insurer leverages 11 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in addition to its Agency Owner Advisory Groups to make certain that all employees, no matter who they are, receive encouragement and support to achieve their highest performance levels.
