Michigan’s sixth largest car insurance provider, Allstate, has announced that it will be appointing 35 new agency owners this year, in addition to hiring in excess of 200 licensed sales employees.
The new agency offices will be located in Lansing, Metro Detroit, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Flint/Saginaw, and Kalamazoo.
Agency sales leader for Michigan, Chris Markey, released a statement which said that they have identified a sizeable “opportunity in the current economy to attract entrepreneurs and mid-career, mid-level managers who are looking for a business opportunity with a recognized brand.”
In order to qualify for candidacy, agency owners must be independent contractors that have a minimum liquid capital for investment of $50,000 into their agency. Candidates who are interested in either owning an agency or being hired for a sales position can make their application by connecting with the Allstate recruiter (Trish Mylek, at [email protected] or 248-994-9253) or by visiting the www.allstateagent.com website.
There is also an opportunity available to individuals who can refer a proper candidate to Allstate. Even if the job is not right for you, by calling Allstate and providing them with the name of someone who is, they will pay a nice size fee if the referral is successful.
According to the Allstate regional salesperson, Jeff Ormond, this industry is especially appealing at the moment in terms of employment as it maintains a certain degree of stability that is a level above the standard in many other industries. Moreover, it is not unusual for the owner of an agency to bring in an income of over six figures.
