Paradiso Insurance launches social media campaign to raise funds for tornado relief

Online InsuranceIn an effort to take advantage of the rampant popularity of social media, Paradiso Insurance, an insurance group based in Connecticut, has launched a new campaign aimed at helping the American Red Cross. Using social media has become a popular tool for the insurance industry recently. The industry often uses social media as a way to investigate claims as well as connect with customers. Paradiso believes that social media is a good platform to attract new consumers and is attempting to bolster its presence online. As such, the company is offering to donate $1 to the Red Cross for every new “like” it gets on its Facebook page.

Insurance companies hold a keen knowledge of how disasters can affect individuals and family. Paradiso, in particular, is well versed in natural disasters. Last year, Connecticut was slammed by severe winter storms. With the recent tornado outbreak in the Southern and Midwest U.S., Paradiso is looking to help those that have been affected by the disaster. The insurer has formed a close relationship with the Rough Notes Company, a print and online magazine based in Indiana. The company’s home state was hit hard by the tornado disaster.

Paradiso is working to raise awareness of relief and tornado insurance in areas that are prone to such disasters. Those looking to help are encouraged to go to Paradiso’s Facebook page or call (860) 684-5270 to volunteer their time to the relief effort.
