This tool gives Medicare beneficiaries such as seniors a look at all of the different Medicare Part D plans available for 2012 for their areas quickly and easily. These plans are offered along with the primary details for all drug tiers of coverage, such as the monthly premiums, “Donut Hole” coverage, the initial deductibles, and cost sharing/co-payment information.
The tool also provides more advanced PDP-Finder options that allow its users to further refine the list of Medicare Part D plans. Moreover, once the list is provided the links for every Medicare Part D plan are also available to give the user greater access to online browsing and more detailed information.
Though the use of this plan has been declining over the years, it was designed to give people a much more effective and efficient way to review all of the prescription drug plans for 2012 Medicare Part D all at the same time, and educate them about key information about those plans.
The service can be directly accessed at PDP-Finder.com. To obtain information about all of the available 2012 Medicare Part D plans in a user’s area, he or she need only click on the state of residence. Details for each plan are provided, including whether or not it applies to the Low-Income Subsidy $0 premium, and its Star-Quality Ratings.
Moreover, the tool offers a link to the drug list (plan formulary) so that users can check it electronically to see what medications are covered.
