Mercury Insurance unveils new product for commercial auto coverage alongside new point of sale system for agents

News for Insurance AgentsMercury Insurance chosen the 2012 Virtual Insurance Marketplace event as the venue for the introduction of their new commercial auto product that is set to be released across the country in the states in which the insurer is currently writing.

This new product uses cutting edge technology to simplify the process for agents to qualify, rate, and issue new business, in addition to building on the insurance company’s capabilities for online service. The commercial auto product provides policyholders with standard ISO coverage at rates that are competitive within the marketplace.

The Mercury Insurance vice president of marketing, Brandt Minnich, explained that the new auto coverage product allows for options with coverage flexibility in order to protect a broad range of companies while at the same time continuing to offer pricing that is highly competitive. He said that the typical behavior of insurers is to offer either competitive pricing or the flexible options for coverage.

Minnich said that this differs from that conventional type of offering because “We are confident that agents will find our product does both.” He added that when this new product is combined with the new system for the point of sale, then it will make Mercury the most appealing insurer for agents who write commercial auto.

This is important because Mercury is currently seeking more independent agents who would like to partner with them for future growth. They have invited agents to attend the free Virtual Marketplace this year from February 8-10, if they would like to learn more about those opportunities.
