The largest disability insurance solution provider in the country, Disability Insurance Services (DIS), has announced the upcoming start of its Great Getaway Giveaway sales contest for financial planners, insurance agents, and independent marketing organizations (IMOs).
It will allow DI insurance professionals to win a trip to any destination on the planet and will begin on October 10, running through November 11.
Dan Steenerson, the president of Disability Insurance Services, said that the goal of the insurer is to make sure that every American’s paycheck is securely protected. He added that he hopes that the contest “will encourage life, health, and long-term disability agents and IMOs to make disability insurance a cross-selling priority.”
He also went on to say that now is a favorable time for brokers for disability insurance and for financial planners to sell more policies to the people they’ve added to their prospect and client lists. The timing is right and it will now help them to increase their chances of winning a trip, too.
This sales contest differs from the norm because it isn’t reserved exclusively to insurance brokers. Instead, IMOs and general agencies will also be allowed to participate, as well as executive level insurance professionals.
Steenerson also added that this particular contest is different because it is extremely simple to win. Every time $30,000 in premium production is written within the time span of the contest, a broker is able to earn a trip for two to whatever location he or she wants – though some contest rules do apply.
Steenerson is hoping that at least 1,000 trips will be given away.
