The insurer scored the highest for that position in the JD Power 2020 Auto Insurance Study.

Wawanesa was the top-performing California auto insurance company for customer satisfaction according to the results of a recent JD Power study.

The insurer was the “Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Auto Insurers in California.”

This was published in the JD Power 2020 Auto Insurance Study, in which the insurer also took the top spot in categories for Price, Policy Offerings and Claims. Wawanesa’s lead position among California auto insurance companies for customer satisfaction stood out as having particular bragging rights.

The JD Power study conducts a review of customer satisfaction across five different areas. These were: Price, Policy Offerings, Interaction, Billing Process and Policy information, and Claims. The results of the study were based on the responses of 4,991 consumers in California with car policies. The data was collected from February 1 through March 30, 2020. Wawanesa’s score was a full 32 points higher than the average in the region.

Wawanesa’s California auto insurance earned a score of 853 on a 1,000 point-scale.

“Providing our customers with genuine and superior service is a focus of our entire team and we are honored to receive this recognition,” said Wawanesa Insurance President Chris Henn. “I am grateful to our employees for their dedication to our customers and living our value of service.”

Henn pointed out that this year’s study was particularly meaningful as the results were achieved in the midst of the onset and continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic. “This year especially, with all of the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to make sure every interaction our customers have with us helps to make their lives easier, not harder.” He went on to add that, “We have worked hard to listen to our customers and to put their needs first. Winning first place in the areas of Price and Claims suggests we are providing a high level of service when and where it matters most to our customers, and doing so at a price people think is fair.”
