American Family Insurance unveils new mobile marketing strategy

Mobile Commerce InsuranceMobile ad network, Mojiva, which has a specialty in cross-platform, “big idea” mobile commerce marketing strategy development and creation, has announced that it will be forming an mobile ad campaign with multiple executions for American Family Insurance.

This campaign is to be created with engagement as its primary focus, and will help to build awareness among consumers who use mobile devices. The insurer will be using this strategy to help spread the word about its life, homeowners, auto, health, farm/ranch, and business insurance products which are currently available in 19 states.

The campaign will continue through until the end of February, and will use Mindshare technology for its mobile app and web purchases within the Mojiva network. It will be centered around a sponsorship on a top social game app.

The campaign for the insurance company will be targeting all mobile commerce consumers from the age of 21 and who are seeking coverage. It will be using the following methods throughout the campaign:

• Sponsorship in-application – users of a major social gaming app will be prompted of a “word of the day” through their Twitter and Facebook profiles. When they play the word, they will be provided with additional tips and strategies for boosting their scores when playing the game.

• Request a quote – American Family Insurance will give consumers access to a reminder calendar tool that will alert them to contact an agent for a quote request on the date of their choice. This is designed to help make insurance simpler and more accessible while still using the convenience and ease of mobile.

• Survival guide – This ad provides consumers with the ability to reach an agent for extra help, as well as a survival guide with tips in the event of an extreme weather event or other dangerous circumstance.
